Over the past couple of months, Matt and I started our morning devotional. We both get up together to read The Love Dare. It is a couples bible study from the movie Fireproof. I have come to enjoy this time, even so early in the morning. I would like to share a few verses and "dares" we have found to love.
Dare to be patient and hold your tongue. (better to say nothing than to say something you will regret)
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. -Ephesians 4:2
Dare to say nothing negative
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgive you. - Ephesians 4:32
Dare to intercede..pray for your spouse's heart
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. - 3 John 2
Dare to seek understanding
How blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding. - Proverbs 3:13
Dare to motivate
Render service with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to men. - Ephesians 6:7
Dare to complete each other
If two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? Ecclesiates 4:11
Dare to love because LOVE is Jesus Christ
While we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. - Romans 5:6
During this time, I have also enjoyed finding special quotes. Here are a few I think are great.
